We'd love to have you worship with us at the Portland Church of the Nazarene. We're focused on sharing the Word of God and how it impacts our lives and our families. There are Sunday School classes for every age group, including a pre-school class, three children's classes, two for teens and four for adults. Our morning worship service is a celebration of the love and grace of Jesus. We sing praises to the Lord, worship with our giving and hear from God through Biblical preaching. Our Sunday evening service begins at 6 p.m. and our Wednesday Night Family Hour includes adult Bible study, Youth Group and Kids Night.

Pastor Rich Cook and his wife Dana moved to Portland in June of 2003. They have two children, Jackson and Grant. Pastor Rich takes great joy in preaching lively, relevant, fun sermons from God's Word. He believes wholeheartedly that "it's a sin to bore people with the Gospel."

Kids and teens are a very important part of our church family. Our children's director is Kim Bradley. We have preschool and children's activities at every service. Our Children's Church meets during the morning worship service and our kids' Bible quiz team is studying First and Second Samuel.

Our Youth Director, Lynn Biggs leads our teen ministry. Youth Group meets Sunday and Wednesday nights, and there are teen activities going on all the time. Yearly youth activities include summer camp and TNT (a music, art and sports talent weekend with other Tennessee churches).

There are ministries for everyone, with men's groups, women's groups, a Primetime Ministry to senior adults, prayer meetings and outreach opportunities.

All are welcome to join in worship. God really is good … all the time.
